a funny incident happened to me today, but i dunnoe whether to laugh or not though.
i figured wearing my no.4 to my friday prayers may do no harm rite, but i admit i got a lil bit disturbed by it after this incident. haha..
okay, so i decided to wear my army no 4 uniform to my friday prayer afterall, the result of being lazy to bring ur civilian clothes to camp. and there i was, at darul aman, minding my bloody business, making my face as blur as sotong as possible and not bothering anyone in the mosque, and just as i was walking towards the toilet, i overheard a couple of elderly men talking.
"Tu aper rank tu? Sergeant eh?" A said.
"Taklah. KOSONG." B replied.
although there are some noise in the background, their conversation is very very audible (to me at least), as though wanting to arrow their cynical remark on me. i mean, im the only dude in the mosque in an army uniform, how could they possibly refer to a 'sergeant' to a normally clad guy?
Oh mAN! how demoralising is tHAT?! the least is, call me a private lah, i know i dun have any rank to display on my arm, but labelling me as KOSONG??? hahaah! is like reminding me how insignificant i am, and i couldnt help but to feel a lil bit affected by it. And i could almost remember after calling me a KOSONG the other guy almost laugh in amusement!
so i learn sth important today, if you wanna go perform ur fri prayers in uniform, u have to be at least a sergeant and above, and if ure not, wear a baju kurung, for goodness sake!!
